The median price of acreage homes around Oregon in Marion County rose quite a bit in February. Buyers paid on average 26% more in February over the buyer’s in February of 2012, or $290,000 up from $230,000. It did take a little longer for sellers to close on the sale of their acreage this year, 133 days up from just 78 in February of 2012. But the increase in profit was worth the wait for most.
Will the trend continue to rise for acreage real estate in Oregon? No one knows for sure, but I can tell you this, the last 12 months of the rural housing market has seen a dramatic improvement.
