Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 20, 2012 so you can attend the massive 4-H fundraiser event known as the Canby Tack Sale. You will want to get an early start as 4000-5000 people attend this popular event held at the Clackamas County Fairgrounds in Canby, Oregon. The sale begins at 8 a.m. and runs until 1:30 p.m. Parking can be challenging with so many shoppers jockeying for an early spot so arrive with that in mind. The vendors will not open before 8 a.m. but the entry line forms with the first arrivals. Parking is free with an admission charge of $1 to the building.
There will be 240 vendors on site including Wilco, HH and large vendors from Washington state. Many 4-H kids sell their outgrown riding outfits and tack in order to buy the next sizes for themselves. The offerings are both new and used tack and other various horse-related items including trailers . Everyone is looking for a good deal and the vendors offer great opportunities. The proceeds from the sale go towards purchasing ribbons, trophies and riding clinics for the 4-H members.
Contact Cindy Carlson at 503-580-1214 if you have questions that the posted links do not answer. Bring cash as not all vendors are able to take charge cards or checks.
