Tough enough for horse women!

Ok, I know this doesn’t have much to do with horses or horse property on the surface, but stick with me for a minute.

I had my nails painted last Friday with a gel polish. No tips, I don’t like the grinding down of my own nail bed to nothing-it hurts! I have not had acrylic nails for years, I was just too hard on them. But, I do like the polished, professional look of them.

I recently heard about the gel polish, and thought I would give it a try. I must say I am very happy with the results! This photo was taken today.

I might own horses, but my nails can still look nice

In the six days I have had them on I have:

  • hooked and unhooked the horse trailer
  • unhooked the flat bed trailer
  • unloaded a pickup’s worth of firewood with my husband
  • bathed 1 horse
  • groomed 3 horses
  • moved a water trough
  • Typed 7 blogs
  • I have no idea how many emails I typed
  • cleaned part of my house
  • fed all the animals twice a day
  • cooked dinners most nights

I think they have held up really well for what I put them through.  If you would like to pamper yourself, and have it last, Tiffany Allen at Future Images in Dallas ( about 15 minutes West of Salem, Oregon) does a great job!  Her number is 503-999-4802.  Regular price is just $10, or $25 with a manicure, but if you mention this blog you get $5 off!  One more plus-they dry REALLY fast! ( and you know we spend way more than that on our horses)
