Horse Camping at Whitefish Horse Camp Oregon

Horse Camping at Whitefish Horse Camp Oregon

Me and Violet on the Meek Lake Trail

Another safe, successful horse camping trip this year!  No accidents, no injuries.

I love this campground and the trails around them. Crescent Lake is across the road, you can walk your horse to the lake for water or go for a swim if you wish. There is potable water in the site, 2 or 4 horse stalls at each site, a manure dump and vault toilets.

This was my second camping trip with my young Friesian mare, Violet. She was great! I think she remembered our last camping trip in August, she was a little more settled and experienced. She was eager to cross bridges, go over logs and after a little hesitation got into the water. I am so proud of her!

The weather was great, not to cold, and dry!  Unlike here in the Valley where is rained an inch in one day.

Well, play time is over and it’s back to work we go, selling acreage horse property for local horse owners around Salem, Oregon!
