Where in Linn county is this located? It seems a bit pricey for only 7 1/2 acres, a not-too-elegant barn, and a fixer-upper house.

We are looking for more acreage - minimum of 10 acres, depending on the topography, but we currently have over 40 and it seems a bit small at times. Mixed topography - I have horses, my husband likes trees. He does not like totally flat lots. I need something with a least a couple somewhat level acres.

Looking for a 1200 - 1500 sq. ft. home, more or less - it is just my husband and I with rare visits from a kid or two, so we don't want to heat/clean/maintain a large home. A tear-down or vacant, but buildable property would be a plus, so that we could build exactly what we want. I will be 64 this year, and my husband 71. We are getting rather apprehensive about getting up on our 2nd story roof any more for repairs/gutter cleaning/chimney sweeping, etc., so only interested in a single story. My husband is primarily looking at homes 10 yrs old or less.

We are looking for something around $400,000 with a home on it, $200,000 for vacant acreage.
We can not deal with shared access. It is one of the main reasons we want to sell our current home.

We are not planning on listing our current home (on Gilliam Rd., Dallas) until we find something to buy. We would sell it if someone came by who wanted it and offered us a reasonable price. I can give you more info if you are interested, or want to come out and see it. The property is really great, at least in my opinion.

We are not in a hurry, and want to find just the "right" place to live the rest of our lives. My husband will be making all of the decisions, (I'm just grabbing mane and going for the ride), and he can be rather particular.
